History

Function Control was first established in 1987, when it was commissioned by the University of Groningen to develop the METRO III optical sheet counter for solid board.

Function Control has grown up on the Science Park of Groningen to be now established in an industrial area of Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands.

 

1989 Delivery of the first solid board optical sheet counter
1994

Function Control joined the Zernike Group, which is specialized in the management of science parks, seed founds and the marketing of new technologies

Function Control developed METRO IV - the first folding board sheet counter.

1995 Function Control made its first steps abroad with its first order from Mayr-Melnhof.
1996 First installation in America
1998 First corrugated board sheet counter, METRO G
2001

Development of the first paper sheet counter and laser ream marking installation, METRO 6RM.

First passport counters

2002

Award for best new development in Europe within the Sappi Group with the METRO 6RM solution

Development of the first camera for automatic destacker robots, METRO D3

2004 First installation in Asia
2005 Becomes part of the BHS Corrugated GmbH(Germany), the world leader OEM of corrugators
2007 First installation in South America in the corrugated board industry
2008 Development of the P7 sheet counter for the paper and board merchant and the printing industry
